Racism is Still Alive in Weimar and Beyond

OK, I just went to Weimar, Germany last week and it was an amazing experience. I can’t explain how I love this city so much for its cultural and iconic building and more. Yes, if you think that Berlin is the culture of Germany, then you probably should read more books. The cultural capital of the German nation is Weimar. The city that you probably never heard of.

The red dressed guy is the guy (right), me (left) cried. LOL

Well, it understandable because this city used to be part of East Germany. That is why it was rarely visited by travelers,,,,you know the communist German hide this city from visitors. But there is something more to tell about this beautiful city. Trust me! Weimer is like The capitol culture of the Germanic peoples. If you want to know about German, you have to go to here because they are provide so much cultures, ancient Building, Natural landscape and many more relate to Germany cultures. Even Some houses from very famous artists like Goethe located In Weimar. So this city is not really new but you need at least two hours travellling by bus from Berlin to go and to enjoy this beautiful old city. Furthermore, two kilometers from Weimar, You can go to Buschenwald concentration camp. If you don’t know about this concentration camp, You can find a lot of information on Internet that this concentration came actually this second biggest Nazi concentration camp in the world after the Authswitz in Poland.

There is interesting story when I came here with my friends. Actually. I came here last two months with three other friends and four of us is completely very colorful people, I mean 3 of us are Asian and one of us is Latina. And we only talk English and guess what? We got “smashed” by locals, especially when we tried to Buschenwald Concentration camp. At one moment at the bus, somebody, I mean An old German guy angry to us because we spoke in English. Can you believe that ??? and according to one of my friend that who understand little bit German? She said that this angry German piss off after we spoke only in English, we never know what his broblem but he’s mad though. If you want to know about the person I’m talking about, see the picture below.

This City’s is actually conservative, majority people living in here is likely very conservative. But don’t get me wrong. A lot of Migrant actually lived here too : Arab, Vietnamese, Polish and Russian. So it’s not really like Homogeneous society. I think it’s completely Diverse. However, you know even tough its diverse, you cannot force people to change their close mindedness, if they believe this kind of a nazi thing, then let it be. Where I’m not saying that German people should be equalized with Nazi, but it seems some of them still have this sympathy toward this kind of notion. You know, when we arrived in Weimar, there is a big demonstration, a lot of people screaming and angry. I guess I don’t know what they the angry about or they want to tell us something but it seems not really peaceful. So we try to get out from that city as fast as possible because we don’t want to get in troubles.

So I dont care about this City anyway, so if you want to travel or visit the city you can go but I’m not going to recommend if you are people of color or whatever you called because majority of these people living in here still living in Dark Age or maybe in the living in 1945 with the Nazi authority. or something, you know, I’m not going to offend people but it’s true. I’m trying to give based on my experience story. Nothing try to offend people in here. So yeah, that’s why they Weimar not really popular among tourists or traveler because it’s not really tourist-friendly. Okay. Bye. Thank you. Allemal Weimar!

Bye Weimar!
