Nasi goreng merah is from Makassar, South Sulawesi. This version of Nasi Goreng have specific bright red appearance. No wonder, Nasi Goreng merah get its colour from tomatoes, very much tomatoes and little bit chilli and pepper.

Its very fresh but still maintain its very delicious spicy of Nasi Goreng. The combination of beef, chicken and others meat makes its more fun when it come to mouth. To adding its spiceness, you can add more sauce or “sambal” to your nasi goreng.

You can taste this unique Fried Rice at Makassar’s Restaurant such as Kedai Pelangi in Central Jakarta.
